Social Service Report X A |
The
teachers in charge of their respective classes began by drawing out
the meaning of Social Service – a concept continued from the ninth
Standard onwards |
This
year our theme is School was “Each one, Reach one”. So what better
way of keeping up with it, than to reach out to own Primary Boys; and
to do whatever we can for their upliftment, especially for those who
had not fared well in the retests. |
Faced
with this challenging situations my boys, tired to find out what each
individual child’s drawbacks, or fears or inhibitions were, in
different subjects, and hence device difference teaching methods for
the same. |
Soon,
an excellent rapport was built up between both of them, and a healthy
give and take exchange relationship developed enabling the little boys
to do their best. The big boys had to bid their little friends good –
bye since it was time for their prelim and board exam with a promise
from them to keep up the good work in the future years. |

Boys of Std. 10 B. who had opted for Social Service, decided to help
out the primary boys of our own school with their studies. In keeping
with the theme of the school for the year – “Each one Reach one” this
seemed to be apt. |
Every Friday boys sat with
the weaker primary boys and solved their Maths sums, took up their
spellings and look into other areas of difficulty. The Primary boys
were happy with the idea of their seniors helping them with their
problems. |
The
Std. 10 boys also prepared skits on social issues like poverty,
corruption, illiteracy etc. and presented them in class. This
exercise was fruitful in building their confidence as well as creating
an awareness of problems fared by society. |

Social Service Report X C |

Students who opted for Social Service from Std. X.C. took up the
challenge of helping the primary boys of Std. IV in their academic as
well as non academic shortcomings. Each boy worked with a child and
identified his problems. The student had to work out a strategy to
work with the primary boy to suit his individual need and
satisfaction. During the session, the boys adopted various ways to
help the smaller boys so that learning and overcoming the problems was
a pleasant experience to both. The primary boys enjoyed their
experience. Many awaited for their sessions and expressed their
desire for more. |
